MAH-MCA-CET-2012 notification

Admission to first year of full time post graduate course in Master in Computer Applications (MCA) for the year 2012-13
Applications are invited for MAH-MCA-CET 2012 for admission to first year of three year full time post graduate degree course in MCA in the govt, govt aided, university managed, university departments and unaided institutes in the Maharashtra state

Sale of the information brochure at select Axis bank branch: 30th January, 2012
Last date of sale of information brochure at select Axis bank branch: 10th February, 2012
On-line submission of the CET application form through computer connected to internet on the website www.dte.org.in/mca for Maharashtra state/OMS/J&K candidates and receipt of the Hall ticket for the MAH-MCA-CET-2012: 30th January, 2012 to 10th February, 2012 up to 5.00 p.m.
The candidate can do on-line payment of fees by internet banking or credit card/debit card and confirm the application form
OMS candidate who have appeared/appearing for the AIMCET-2012 and aspiring to claim admission against the OMS seats are also required to submit the on-line CET application form
Date and timing of the MAH-MCA-CET-2012: 04th March, 2012, 2.00 p.m.
Declaration of the results of the MAH-MCA-CET-2012 on the website www.dte.org.in/mca: 06th April, 2012
Document verification, updation and confirmation of application form for CAP at ARC for Maharashtra state/OMS/J&K candidates: 17th May, 2012 to 28th May, 2012
Display of the provisional merit lists (Maharashtra state, OMS and J&K candidates) on the website www.dte.org.in/mca: 01st June, 2012
Submission of grievance application of Maharashta and OMS candidates, if any, at respective ARC: 04th June, 2012 to 05th June, 2012
Display of the final merit lists (Maharashtra state, OMS candidates) on website www.dte.org.in/mca: 11th June, 2012
The candidates who have failed to procure information brochure along with application kit, submit and confirm the on-line application form on or before 10th February, 2012 will be able to procure, submit and confirm the on-line application form at following office by paying additional late fees of Rs 1000/- (Rs one thousand only) in cash only on 22nd-23rd February, 2012, 11.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. at the following address

Candidates are required to approach the identified Axis bank branches mentioned above as per schedule during the working hours of the respective Axis bank branches for obtaining information brochure along with application kit
Candidates may also approach ARC cum facilitation centers (given in information brochure) to scan and upload photo, submit and confirm the on-line application form
Candidates are required to pay facilitation charges of Rs 50/- in cash towards scanning, printing etc all these centers
To facilitate candidates from outside of Maharashtra state, the MAH-MCA-CET-2012 examination will also be conducted at Goa, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Kolkata, Lucknow
The admission to Goa University shall be through score of MAH-MCA-CET 2012 by themselves
The submission and confirmation of on-line application form will be closed on 10th February, 2012 at 5.00 p.m. sharp
Aspiring candidates are required to get the documents verified and confirm application for CAP at ARC strictly mentioned in the information brochure

Eligibility criteria for appearing to MAH-MCA-CET-2012: The candidate should fulfill the following eligibility criteria
Passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and physically handicapped belonging to Maharashtra state only) in any bachelor’s degree awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a university u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by the association of Indian universities, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the ministry of HRD, govt of India and having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination; or appeared for the final year examination of any bachelor’s degree to be awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions estd by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a university u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Govt of India and having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination
Such candidates can be considered for provisional admission subject to passing the degree exam with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and physically handicapped belonging to Maharashtra state only)
The candidates who have passed bachelor of computer application (BCA), bachelor of computer science (BCS), bachelor of science (Computer/Information Technology) degree courses are not required to fulfill the requirement of having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination
Refer information brochure for detailed eligibility criteria and steps in the entire process of CET, document verification, centralized admission process, on-line reporting etc, for securing admission against the Maharashtra seats, OMS seats, minority seats, institute level seats, against CAP vacancies and seats for NRI/foreign national/foreign students/PIO/children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries
Availability of information brochure along with application kit, the Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra state, Mumbai continues the system of online receipt of application form for MCA for the year 2012-13
Information brochure along with the application kit for the aspiring candidates will be available at the select Axis bank branches during working hours of the respective Axis Bank branches as per schedule (excluding public holidays) against the payment of the application form processing fees
It is mandatory to procure the information brochure and go through it carefully
The CET that will be conducted in pursuance of this advertisement is subject to the rules and regulations set out in this information brochure
The further admission process, especially in respect of private unaided institutes will be in terms of the clarification read with aforesaid rules and regulations
Submission of the application form in response to this notification will amount to accepting the aforesaid rules and regulations unequivocally by the applicant and upon such submission it will be presumed that the applicant agrees and accepts these rules and regulations as legal, valid and correct
It will not be open for any applicant, once having submitted the application form to question the legality, validity and correctness of these rules and regulations
The centralized admission process will consist of first 2 rounds of allotment and the third (i.e. last) round of counseling
Candidates are instructed to carefully read the information brochure to understand the eligibility criteria for participating in each round
Application form processing fees as stated below is to be paid at the identified Axis bank branches, in cash only, through pay-in-slip
The candidate can also do on-line payment of the fees by internet payment, credit card/debit card payment gateway for which the service charges, as per rules, shall be applicable in addition to the application form processing fees
No other mode of payment shall be permitted
For open category candidates from Maharashtra, outside Maharashtra state, J&K migrant candidates and NRI/foreign national/foreign students/PIO/children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries candidates-Rs 750/-
For candidates of backward class categories (SC/ST/VJDT/NT(A),(B),(C)/OBC/SBC) belonging to Maharashtra state only-Rs 550/-
Maharashtra state and J&K migrant candidates who wish to apply against OMS based are required to purchase only single information brochure along with the application kit
This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances
Submission and confirmation of on-line application form
Aspiring candidates will be able to submit and confirm the on-line application form through the website www.dte.org.in/mca through any computer connected to internet
For the submission and confirmation of the on-line application form the candidates are required to use the application ID and password provided in the application kit
Candidates are also required to upload his/her photo with signature as per the instructions given in the application kit
Candidates are advised to preserve the application kit carefully and not to disclose the application ID and password to others to avoid impersonation
In order to take the printout of the on-line submitted application form and the printout of the Hall ticket for the CET, it is mandatory for all the candidates to confirm the on-line submitted application form and such confirmed applications only will be considered valid for further processing
Applications sent by post/courier etc to ARCs/DTE office will be rejected and no communication in this regard will be done with the candidates
It should be noted that no documents are required to be submitted at this stage
